Headings

Headings are always important when making web pages as they help you to separate out your content and to make it easier for the user to find the information they are looking for. The tags go from <h1> being the largest to <h6> being the smallest. This is how they would look on a web page consecutively typed.

<h1>This is a heading</h1>

<h2>This is a heading</h2>

<h3>This is a heading</h3>

<h4>This is a heading</h4>

<h5>This is a heading</h5>

<h6>This is a heading</h6>

HTML will auto add a blank line before and after any heading

Paragraphs

Paragraphs are also very commonly used for separating up text on a web page here is how a few paragraphs would look in html

<p> lorum ipsum dot amet lorum ipsum dot amet

lorum ipsum dot amet lorum ipsum dot lorum

lorum ipsum dot amet lorum ipsum dot amet <p>

<p> lorum ipsum dot amet lorum ipsum dot amet

lorum ipsum dot amet lorum ipsum dot lorum

lorum ipsum dot amet lorum ipsum dot amet <p>

These would then end up looking like so in any web browser notice above there are <p> and </p> either side of each paragraph these are what html uses as paragraph tags.

lorum ipsum dot amet lorum ipsum dot amet

lorum ipsum dot amet lorum ipsum dot lorum

lorum ipsum dot amet lorum ipsum dot amet

lorum ipsum dot amet lorum ipsum dot amet

lorum ipsum dot amet lorum ipsum dot lorum

lorum ipsum dot amet lorum ipsum dot amet

Comments

Come times html can be hard to read even if you have written it yourself. In most cases you may be working as a team on a certain website and would end up getting confused on. The comments tag will save you from all of that you can add it any where in your code and it is only for code visibility which means it wont show up anywhere on your actual web page.

The comments tag looks like this

<!– This is a comment –>

Now anything in place of the red text will be within the comment

Horizontal rule

This tag basically draws a line break across the page

The tag is <hr> used to break up information

I couldn’t understand some parts of this article HTML Tutorial (part 2) | MirazTutorials.com, but I guess I just need to check some more resources regarding this, because it sounds interesting.
